Selection procedure for KLM Cityhopper cabin attendant
KLM Cityhopper is a 100% subsidiary of KLM. That means we have a reputation to uphold when regarding service on board. Thanks to our fantastic cabin crew, we make a difference to our passengers in the air. That requires colleagues who are made of the right stuff.
Due to the variety of destinations, different colleagues and a full and variable schedule in which you are sometimes away from home several nights a week, we put demands on your flexibility. Do you see this as a wonderful challenge? Then we look forward to receiving your application!
Once we have received your application, the selection procedure is as follows:
1. Video explaining your motivation
When you meet all the basic requirements, we invite you to record a video of yourself explaining your motivation. Tell us your story, we are interested to hear it!
2. CV selection
Our recruiters will look at whether your CV fits with the job of cabin attendant.
3. First selection round
With a positive recommendation, you will receive an invitation to the first selection round. During this round, you will first be given a presentation about KLM Cityhopper. You will then have an interview with two language assessors in which we test your (verbal) English. After which, you will be informed whether you are through to the next round: the Meet & Greet. During this Meet & Greet, you have a chat in Dutch with the other candidates and the recruiters. We ask you to give a brief presentation (again in Dutch) lasting about 1 1/2 minutes. This gives us an opportunity to get to know you better and you can clearly verbalise your motivation.
We may save your application in our files and put you on a waiting list. That means you will automatically be invited to the next selection round when we have a free slot in the calendar. Your application will stay on file for up to one year.
4. Second selection round
This round consists of an individual selection interview with two recruiters, one of whom is flight crew. Before attending the interview, we ask you to do a digital personality test. During the interview, we will ask about your competencies, so we can get a good picture of whether you are that enthusiastic cabin attendant we are looking for.
5. Vetting and screening process, security check, reference check and medical examination
If you have passed all parts of the selection process, then there is a vetting and screening process, security check and a references check (know that your information can be shared with KLM and/or subsidiaries when you apply). The medical examination, including a test for the use of alcohol, drugs and medicines, will be conducted before the start of the basic course. This examination will be carried out by KLM Health Services. You can find more information about the examination on klmhealthservices.com.
Negative selection result
Did you get a negative result in the first round of the selection procedure? That's a shame! We will give you a verbal reasoning for your rejection so you gain insight into your competencies in relation to the job profile of cabin attendant. In the second round we offer you the opportunity to get feedback by telephone from a recruiter.
You can reapply after at least one year.
